What is this skill?
Evaluating a startup isn't one-size-fits-all—investors, job seekers, and founders each have different priorities. With this skill, your AI analyzes any startup from three perspectives: VC investor, job applicant, and CEO/founder. It researches public data to assess market opportunity, traction, team, financials, defensibility, culture, and more, then gives you verdicts tailored to each viewpoint. This is invaluable for due diligence, weighing a job offer, or understanding a company's health and outlook.
What you can do
- Get a VC-style investment analysis covering market size, unit economics, team quality, and defensibility ("Is this startup a good investment?").
- See a job applicant's view: financial stability, equity value, culture signals, and career growth ("Should I join this company?").
- Review a CEO/founder's self-assessment: product-market fit, growth efficiency, and organizational health.
- Compare where perspectives agree or diverge, with clear verdicts for each.
- Run open-ended research or due diligence on any private tech company.
How it works
When you request an analysis, your AI searches the web for recent news, funding data, team info, and public signals about the startup. It then applies structured frameworks for each perspective—VC, job applicant, and CEO—scoring and summarizing findings in plain language. The output highlights strengths, risks, and verdicts, making it easy to decide whether to invest, join, or benchmark the company.
Good to know
- Requires web search access (works best on CLI platforms; Claude.ai may have limited data gathering).
- No authentication or API keys needed.
- Outputs are based on public information and structured analysis frameworks.
