What is this skill?

Tracking DeFi derivatives and spot markets can be a challenge, especially when you need up-to-the-minute data on funding rates, open interest, or order book depth. With this skill, your AI can instantly fetch detailed Hyperliquid (app.hyperliquid.xyz) perp and spot market data, including funding history and cross-venue comparisons for arbitrage. It's perfect for traders, analysts, and researchers who want to monitor Hyperliquid's markets, funding dynamics, or compare rates with Binance and Bybit—without the friction of logins or API keys.

What you can do

  • Get the latest mark, oracle, and mid prices for any Hyperliquid perp or spot pair (e.g., "BTC perp mark price: $67,000").
  • Check 24h price change, open interest, and volume for any coin or pair (e.g., "ETH open interest: 15,000 ETH, $45M notional").
  • View the L2 order book snapshot with top levels and spread (e.g., "Order book for PURR: top 10 bids/asks").
  • Pull OHLCV candles for any interval (1m, 1h, 1d, etc.) for charting or backtesting.
  • Review hourly and annualized funding rates, plus historical funding trends (e.g., "BTC perp funding: 0.01%/hr, 8.7% APR").
  • Compare predicted funding rates across Hyperliquid, Binance, and Bybit for arbitrage opportunities.

How it works

When you request Hyperliquid data, your AI uses opencli and the hyperliquid plugin to call Hyperliquid's public info API. It fetches the requested market data—such as prices, funding, or order book—parses the results, and presents a clean summary or table. For funding comparisons, it queries Hyperliquid, Binance, and Bybit, then calculates spreads and highlights arbitrage setups. All data is read-only and comes directly from public endpoints, ensuring accuracy and privacy.

Good to know

  • Requires Node.js 24 or later and the opencli tool with the hyperliquid plugin installed.
  • No API key, wallet, or login needed—fully public data.
  • Works on CLI-based agents (Claude Code, etc.), not on Claude.ai's sandbox.
  • Only reads market data—no account, order, or fund access.
